After exploring Kathmandu, we fly to Lukla, an experience in itself, and enter the world of the Sherpas. We walk alongside the Dudh Kosi up to memorable villages including Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa 'capital'. Visit holy Thyangboche Monastery, which sits on a high meadow in the lee of AmaDablam.

The trail is ever upward, skirting formidable glaciers and neat Sherpa villages. The temperature drops and we are in a frozen world of stone houses, iced rivers and stunning beauty. On returning to Lukla after your mountain high, bid farewell to your gracious Sherpa hosts and set off on the spectacular flight back to Kathmandu. There is time to reflect on your adventure and explore this exotic city for yourself.
